Step 2BARBIE COLLECTIBLE DOLLS

Determining Barbie Dolls and their values is not always top priority for collectors.  Sometimes it is the hunt or the satisfaction of finding that Barbie Doll that they have been looking for.  For instance a Vintage Barbie is one that is produced prior to 1972.  These collectible pieces are considered quite a value to some collectors so remember:  when asking yourself, "Are my collectible dolls of value?", you could have a Vintage Barbie that most collectors would be thrilled to have, so it is important to remember the collectible Barbie doll's tangible and their intangible values as well. Here are some excellent references you can use for determining your Barbie collectible dolls value.

During step two if you have Barbie collectible Dolls and you are wondering " what's their values?" you must first look at their condition.  For instance a collectible doll that has never been removed from it's box (NRFB) is sometimes of more value than a Barbie that has.  There several different conditions your Barbie Doll will possess which will help you determine how much value your collectible Barbies are worth.  When you look at the Barbie Dolls to find its collectible value look at the following scenarios:

  • Is it NFIB- New found in box?  If it is, then it will be in mint condition in the box with all the tags, clothing, accessories and in "store new" condition. This greatly increases their collectible value.
  • If it it has the outfit but no tags or accessories and in "store new" condition this is considered Near Mint, doll is very collectible
  • Excellent- it is almost in nearly not played condition, everything is crisp and dust free, still of value to most dealers
  •

Very good- means it has been gently played with and may have minor flaws i.e. hair out of place, still very collectible, keeps it's value pretty well

  • Good - played with, a few scratches or thin, frizzy hair and minor fading of clothes, doll is still   somewhat in collectible condition but not quite of the same value
  • Fair- seriously played with, scratched face and missing paint with some damage to the doll, collectible but decreased in value
  • Poor-terrible condition, only good for parts for restoration process, usually greatly decreases its value
